Liam Patrick

Recognised by Curve Leicester’s Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster, as an “outstanding artist,” Liam is a dynamic theatre-maker known for his vibrant and energetic approach.

His practice is rooted in ambition, inclusivity and a belief in creating spaces where performers can thrive.

A graduate of De Montfort University with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies, Liam has spent over 14 years creating theatre with organisations including Starlight Youth Theatre, Curve Young Company and Greasepaint Productions. In 2012, he toured the UK and the Netherlands in Thirst and And The Girls In Their Sunday Dresses as part of the Afrovibes Festival. In 2022, he was shortlisted to the final six candidates for Resident Director on Matilda The Musical (London), reflecting his growing presence within the professional sector.

 

Alongside his independent work, he occasionally collaborates with the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) in London’s West End as a Creative Theatre Practitioner, bringing industry-informed coaching and skills into his work with performers.

Liam’s work is grounded in optimism with a strong commitment to nurturing emerging talent. Artists he has supported have progressed into professional training at leading institutions, including Noah Harrison (ArtsEd, London), Oliver Halford (Emil Dale Academy, London), Olivia King (Bird College, London) Poppy Melton (Performers College, Birmingham) and Tilly Bull (MADD College, Nottingham)

 

He proudly leads Swing Theatre as Artistic Director, shaping high-energy work while cultivating a culture where passion meets professionalism.
