Paul Timms

Gareth Wynne

Paul has 11 years of Musical Direction experience, combining Grade 8 instrumental training with in-the-field experience, and has directed a variety of community and touring productions during this time, as well as the occasional showcase and choral performance. Paul has an eye for integrating music with story, choreography, and the many other theatre disciplines.

Paul enjoys bringing confidence to new and nervous performers, and has done so since he first got involved with university theatre. He currently holds the post of Musical Director for the Little Theatre's Christmas pantomime, having done so since moving to Leicester in 2017.

Before Musical Direction, Paul had occasionally graced the stage for a variety of amateur groups, but now prefers supporting other performers from the conductors plinth. He also has a background in the technical elements of theatre, having been a venue technician in a former life.

Gareth has been an MD in the East Midlands for over 20 years, and is delighted to join Swing Theatre for this incredible show in their inaugural season.

Previous production credits include 9 to 5, Annie, Chess, Oliver, Ragtime, Little Shop of Horrors, Crazy For You, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Our House and Acorn Antiques. He also treads the boards regularly and has performed leading roles in countless shows, including Parade, West Side Story, South Pacific, Last Five Years, Sweeney Todd, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Seussical the Musical.
